Synopsis
Richard Sexton was commissioned by the River Road Historical Society to extensively photograph the Destrehan Plantation site including interior photographs of the principal house, outbuildings, and the grounds. These contemporary photographs tell the story of the Destrehan site today, a museum house open to the public, and one of the most significant historical architectural sites in the Mississippi Valley. The Introduction was written by Eugene D. Cizek and the Destrehan Legacy was written by John H. Lawrence.
